This month we’re going to Parliament to tell MPs about the impact of type 2 diabetes on young adults and children. We’re calling on all parties to improve diabetes care and ensure the building blocks of health are in place for every child.

When type 2 diabetes develops under the age of 40 it’s more serious and aggressive.  Being diagnosed at a younger age puts you at higher risk of developing devastating complications like heart disease, kidney disease and sight loss.

We have an opportunity to change this.

With a general election this year, the decisions taken now will determine the health of the next generation. The circumstances in which we are born, grow up and go on to live have a drastic impact on our risk of type 2 diabetes.

Together we can push for a healthier, fairer society. To make healthy food accessible to all. To make sure everyone has access to green spaces to get outside.  And people with diabetes can get the care and support they need to live well.

So, will you invite your MP to our event in May?
